I’m a 24 year old Illustrator based in Cape Town. I’ve loved drawing for as long as I can remember. Growing up my friends and I would sit for hours on end, drawing our favourite comic book super heroes and characters from anime. I didn’t have a formal art education so back then, drawing what I saw on TV and comics were the best way to learn how to draw well. I find this has influenced my style a lot.
I moved to Cape Town to further my studies after matriculating in 2012. I then studied Graphic Design at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and completed my ND in Graphic Design in 2016. Having been based in Cape Town for the past 5 years, I’ve had great opportunities to work on exciting projects and have collaborated with other fellow artists and creatives that that have been a huge inspiration to me.
The relationships I keep close to my heart are my family and friends. They have been part of my journey from day one. Its a blessing to know you have people around you that appreciate and support your passion, especially being in the creative field.
I’m currently completing a year course in Concept Art at the Friends of Design College. In between all the professional work over the years, I’ve had the cool experience of being part of a number of group exhibitions in the city. I’ve come to mostly specialize in illustration; and I look forward to working on more exciting projects in this field.
